WRR Working Paper: ‘The legitimacy of corporations in a liberal democracy’

In the new Working Paper The legitimacy of corporations in a liberal democracy, Prof. Rutger Claassen discusses the nature and role of corporations from several political-thepretical perspectives. These perspectives each contain their own understanding of the societal function of corporations and offer different starting points for policy reform.

The Working Paper is written in the context of the WRR-consultancy procedure Business and Society. Its central question is how corporations can flourish while simultaneously contributing optimally to the Dutch society.
